Join us for our Wilder Institute’s Environmental Educators’ Summit August 10 – 13, 2026!
2026 Summer Educator Summit
Join us from August 10–13, 2026 at the Wilder Institute’s Calgary Zoo for a four-day, immersive, field-based learning experience designed to strengthen environmental literacy through real-world conservation.
Throughout the summit, you’ll connect with subject-matter experts, explore behind-the-scenes conservation projects, and engage in hands-on, inquiry-based learning. Participants will collaborate to co-create an environmental education resource to bring back to their own classroom or community setting.
Grounded in curiosity, connection, and collaboration, this experience builds confidence, practical skills, and a strong network of educators and conservation professionals. The learning continues beyond the summit with a virtual follow-up session to share how your ideas and resources have come to life.
Funding for meals and accommodation is provided, along with partially subsidized travel.
